Patchwork Launch with My Genderation at Channel 4

For the past 6 months, Lucky Tooth Films (aka My Genderation) have been working with All About Trans on 25 Patchwork films, in collaboration with Channel 4. Forming part of the Patchwork Stories series with transgender people UK-wide, each mini documentary visits a trans person at their home or place of work to hear about their life, their experiences, passions and hopes. The overall theme of the films focus on support and celebration within and amongst trans people and the story-tellers are psychics, models, musicians, pilots, soldiers, artists, activists, support workers and more…

Patchwork is entirely unique because the stories come from trans people and are produced by trans people. Raphael Fox and Lewis Hancox, the filmmakers, originally starred in Channel 4’s ‘My Transsexual Summer’ and have since embarked on a filmmaking career, producing films to a global audience.

On Thursday July 31st 2014, a launch screening and drinks reception at Channel 4 in the heart of London will showcase some of the films and offer a unique opportunity to hear from the filmmakers and contributors. This event is invite only. All the films will be featured online from early August.
